With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ruth Ann McConnell in Ennis, Texas, who passed away on February 26, 2026 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Welch and Emma Welch (Harris); her husband John W. McConnell Jr.; and her siblings, Ora, Raymond, William Jr., Frank, Paul, Robert, George Welch, Mabel Tromblee and Freida Shepler.
She is survived by: her children, John McConnell (Leo) of Ennis Texas and Grace Clark (Richard) of Ennis Texas; and her siblings, Charles Welch (Jodi) of Monmouth, Illinois and Neva Helton of Knoxville, Illinois. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
