He was predeceased by: his parents, Aloisie Spaniel (Krajca) and Frank K. Spaniel; his wife Betty Spaniel; and his siblings, Eleanor Spaniel, Frank L. Spaniel, Joe C. Spaniel, Mary Ann Janousek and Emilie F. Spaniel.
He is survived by: his children, Karen Sabharwal (Kapil), Karl Spaniel (Suzann), Kay Hibbs (Gary) and Keith Spaniel (Carla); his grandchildren, Madison Matous (Zachary), Samantha Hibbs, Cyrus Sabharwal, Raynie Spaniel, Emily Spaniel and Warren Spaniel; and his sisters-in-law, Theresa Hoffart, Bernice Baranowski and Ann Young. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
