He was predeceased by: his son John Everett Collins, Jr.; his parents, Wanza English Collins and Henry Marshall Collins; and his siblings, Opal Mae Stout, Sidney Marshall Collins, LaVonne Odessa Havard and Jessie.
He is survived by: his wife Joanne Alice Barton Collins of Euless, TX; his son James Edward Collins; his grandchildren, Jacob Edward Collins and Madalyn Rene Collins; and his cousin Carol Brennan of California. He is also survived by Nieces and Nephews and Great Nieces and Nephews.
