It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Opal Phillips of Euless, Texas, born in Glass, Texas, who passed away on March 23, 2021, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Jim Robinson and Dora Robinson; her husband James Phillips; her children, Steve, Rhonda Phillips of Hawkins, TX and Christie Nelson of Euless, TX; her grandchildren, Ashley Nelson of Austin, TX, Stephanie, Cody Malin of Rockwall, TX and Wendy Elkins; and her great grandchild Ferris Flanders.

“Christie, Opal was one of the kindest people I have ever known. We worked together at NRHMC over 40 years ago. I wish I had a 100 people like her in my life, but sadly there are few who come close to her. I visited her once after moving to Alaska 30 yrs. ago and brought my sons who were about 10 & 12. She asked me, "When are you moving back home to Tx? It was an interesting question since I grew up in Fla. I guess anywhere you live, if there are people like Opal, it is home. Anne McCarron”
