It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joaquin Rivera (Fabens, Texas), who passed away on October 20, 2025, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Though Joaquin may journey beyond the horizon of our sight, his essence remains woven into the very fabric of our being — a guiding light in the darkness, a beacon of hope in the night.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Catarino, Jr. Rivera and Antonia Rivera (Chavez); his wife Lupe; his sister Ernestina; his brother-in-law Alejandro Baca; and his sister Ramona Rivera.
He is survived by: his children, Joseph David (Lutgarda), Victor Orlando (Sandra) and Christina Irene Knight (Jeffrey). He is also survived by his 3 children and 14 grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 3rd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the San Jose Funeral Home-East (1095 Pellicano Dr, El Paso, TX 79935). A rosary was held on Monday, November 3rd 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass was held on Tuesday, November 4th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Jesus & Mary Catholic Church (1401 W Yandell Dr, El Paso, TX 79902). A burial was held on Tuesday, November 4th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Ft. Bliss National Cemetery.
