He was predeceased by : his parents, George L. Simons and Mattie Fay Simons; and his sister Judy G. Kear. He is survived by : his wife Rosemary Self-Simons; his children, Roy E. Simons (Deborah) of Arizona and Connie M. Simons of Oklahoma; his granddaughter Theresa K. Simons of Fairfield; his siblings, Aruthur (Lou) of Dallas, Glen Simons of Fairfield, Vera Simons of Fairfield, Cindy Simons of Fairfield and Mary (John Dickson) of Kerens; and his grandchildren, James Simons, Shantel Flippin, Jamie Simons, Amanda Simons, Logan Reeves, Darren Severs, Shay Severs, Jebidiah Severs, Stormy Kittrell and James Kittrell. He is also survived by 17 great grandchildren.
