He was predeceased by: his parents, Noble Goldsmith and Mae Goldsmith (Ingle); his wife Jennie C. Shults; his children, Kent Goldsmith, Kevin L. Shults and Lezlie Berkner; and his siblings, Jack Goldsmith and Delores Meeks.
He is survived by: his children, James D. Shults (Kelly) of Santee, Alton C. Goldsmith of Sacramento, Darrell Goldsmith of Colorado and Tamara M. Hand (Edward) of Deming; his children-in-law, Yvette Goldsmith of Farmington and Keith Berkner of Billings; his grandchildren, Chelsea Goldsmith, Tanya Toledo (Stephen), Camilla Holt (Joey), Johnny Montes (Carlee), Brittany Goldsmith, Trey Goldsmith (Rocio), Melanie Lawler (Kyle), Stephen Goldsmith (Melanie), Victoria Pacheco (Kris), Rebecca Shults, Kyla Goldsmith (Brandon), Eric Shults, Phoebe Miller and John Robert Goldsmith (Aspen); and his siblings, Dan Goldsmith (Deborah) of Dimmitt, Texas, Iris Smith of Killeen, Vicki Hackney of Tyler, Jo Dell Capps (Gary) of Panhandle and Gayla Parker (Duane) of Tyler, Texas.. He is also survived by his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
