It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David Kent McAvoy in Fate, Texas, who passed away on July 7, 2025, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Herbert McAvoy and Gail Hartzell McAvoy; and his brother Dan McAvoy. He is survived by: his wife Frances Pate McAvoy; his son Mark Dale McAvoy (Kimberly Halterman McAvoy); his grandchildren, Cameron Peter McAvoy of Spokane Valley, WA and Zuri Rose McAvoy of Spokane Valley, WA; and his cousin Patti Kimberland Kindrick. He is also survived by numerous inlaws, nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, July 18th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Redeemer Church (306 E Rusk St, Rockwall, TX 75087). A memorial service was held on Friday, July 18th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
