With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dora Jean Garrison of Ferris, Texas, born in Dallas, Texas, who passed away on April 25, 2024 at the age of 75. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Dora Jean Garrison to pay them a last tribute.

Though Dora may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Dora touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Jackie B. Garrison and Billie Earle Garrison (Wooten); and her brothers, Marty Lynn Garrison and Jackie Howard Garrison. She is survived by : her daughter Lisa Renee (Jerry Dale Ward) of Ferris, Texas; her grandchildren, Marty (Janie Westmoreland) of Ennis, Arron (Tiffany Westmoreland) of Ferris and Jackie Shanz Jr. (Aaliyah) of Corpus Christi, Texas; her sister Carolyn (Wesley Ely) of Rockwall, Texas; and her friend Darryl Hicks of Dallas, Texas. She is also survived by several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A memorial service was held on Saturday, May 11th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the TrueVine Missionary Baptist Church (614 W 1st St, Ferris, TX 75125).
