He was predeceased by: his parents, Tom Atkinson and Wille Fae Atkinson; his brothers, Ben and Jim Atkinson; and his son Brian.
He is survived by: his wife Billie Jean Atkinson; his child Erin Reeder (Tooter); his children-in-law, JT Atkinson (Sonny) and DeLisa; his grandchildren, Branson Reeder (Branson Case), Mackenzie Atkinson (Mackadoo), Madison Atkinson (Maddie Ann) and Owen Reeder (OW); his sister Julie Collins; his siblings-in-law, Jeff Collins, Pam Atkinson and Debbie Yost; and his niece Audra. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to the Florence United Methodist Church to be forwarded to support the research of Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP).
