He was predeceased by: his parents, William Timms (Bill) and Gertrude O. Timms; his significant other V. June Timms; and his stepsiblings, J. C. Carter, D. C. Carter and Lenora Seale.
He is survived by: his sons, Steven Timms (Susan Timms) of Houston and Russ Timms (Joan Timms) of Flower Mound, Texas.; his grandchildren, Allyson Patterson (Jason Patterson) of Prosper, Ryan Timms (Lauren) of Flower Mound, Meredith Staggers (Trent) of The Woodlands and Landon Timms (Heather) of Flower Mound; his great grandchildren, Peyton, Emma Patterson, Piper June, Lila, Dottie Staggers, Adeline, Reid Timms, Jack, Claire and Georgia Timms; and his sisters-in-law, Dorice Worley of Plano and Pat Humes of Abilene. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
