Luz leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Luz’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around her. Though she is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support she offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Luz will carry forward her memory in their hearts.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Apolonio Hernandez and Delores Hernandez; and her siblings, Lorenzo Hernandez, Tomas Hernandez, Santos Hernandez, Norberta Flores and Andela Ramirez.
She is survived by: her children, Norma Gutierrez of Floydada, TX and Raymundo Martinez Jr. of Floydada, TX; her sister Rosa Medders of San Antonio, TX; and her pet Hazel. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 14th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Moore-Rose Funeral Home of Floydada Monday (329 W California St, Floydada, TX 79235).
