As Mac departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Mac may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Mac leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Gertude Smitherman (McKenzie) and John Bryan Smitherman; and his brother Rex Smitherman. He is survived by: his wife Charlene Smitherman of Floydada; his son Greg Smitherman of Floydada; and his sibling's children, Kelley and Bryn Smitherman of Fort Worth.
