He was predeceased by: his parents, John M. Vandiver and Bonnie Marie Vandiver (Salmon); and his brother Mickey Vandiver. He is survived by: his son Wade Vandiver; his daughter-in-law Lorye Brown Vandiver; his daughter April Perkins (Ralph Perkins); and his grandson Kellan Perkins.

Ronnie was awarded the Silver Beaver Award by the Boy Scouts of America for his many contributions to Scouting.
