Santos left this world on April 20, 2024 at the age of 101, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by : his parents, Miguel Mariscal and Maria Ramos; his wife Belinda Mariscal; his son Reyes Mariscal; and his siblings, Pedro Mariscal, Jose Mariscal, Crescencio Mariscal, Inocencsio Mariscal, Micaela Mariscal and Dora Mariscal.

He is survived by : his children, David Mariscal of Lockney, Santos Mariscal Jr. (Mary) of Lockney, Rosa Gonzales (Pete) of Lockney, Aurora Mariscal of El Paso and Irene Higgs (Charlie) of Denver City; and his sisters, Apolonia Villarreal of Florida and Anita Mariscal of Elsa. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 26th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Moore-Rose Funeral Home of Lockney Friday (402 S Main St, Lockney, TX 79241). A graveside service was held on Friday, April 26th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Lockney Cemetery.
