It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Vera Thornton in Floydada, Texas, born in Detroit, Michigan, who passed away on July 25, 2025, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Julius Waller and Jenny Young Waller. She is survived by: her children, Linda, Larry Miller, Tim and Robyn Thornton; her grandchildren, Amy Bonds, Matt, Megan Thornton, Luke and Tara Thornton; her great grandchildren, Cameron, Braden Bonds, Aalayah, Brendon, Issac Thornton, Oliver and Tinley Thornton; her sister Eva Richardson; Rae.
