He was predeceased by: his parents, Virginia Marrs (Scott) and Dr. Walford D. Marrs; his brother Scott Marrs; and his parents-in-law, S. M. Nichols and Sue Nichols.
He is survived by: his wife Janice Sue Marrs; his children, Jeffrey D. Marrs (Sherri), Shelley R. Johnston (Sammy), Vonda Potts (Danny), Thomas B. Marrs (Wendy), Audie G. Allen and Courtney Egan; his grandchildren, Samantha, Scott Johnston, Colton, Coty, Kaleb Allen, Allison, Dr. Emily Marrs, Cameron, Tyler, Reagan Potts, Richard, Bridget, Tommy, John Paul Rogers, Sarah Schilling and Amber Millett; his great grandchildren, Ava, Oliver, Aiden Allen, Jamison, Travis, Wyatt Thompson, Elliot, Cohen Potts, Frederick Christian Schilling VI, Jakxton Wildrick, Dean Millett, Jakkson Batista and Allie Johnston; and his sisters, Cynthia Hartgraves, Alice Ann Vaught and Mary Mylius.
