He was predeceased by : his parents, Austin Shipley and Georgia Shipley; his wife Mary Pritchett; and his brothers, Bobby, Harry and Pat Shipley.

He is survived by : his children, Richard (Deanna Shipley) and Tammy (Robert Manquero); his grandson Michael Creecy (Morgan); his great grandchildren, Henry, Adalyn, June, Luke Austin and Frankie; and his siblings, Judy Shipley (Paul), Mike Shipley (Charlsie), Jerry Shipley (Kristi) and James Shipley.
