He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Elza and Carol Ann Elza (Diestchweiler); his former wife Karen Elza (Burns); and his sister Susan Caluya. He is survived by: his wife Velda "Diane" Elza of Forney, Texas; his children, Trevor Elza and Erin Herington; his stepson Michael Callahan; his grandchildren, Jack, Claire, Hailey, Hannah and Logan; and his siblings, Terry Elza (Cheryl), Paul Elza, Barbara Elza and Diane Elza.
