He was predeceased by: his parents, Alex Elder and Elmese Elder; his wife Jeweleen Elder; his stepson Gregory McCollough; and his son Alex Earl Elder.
He is survived by: his sisters, Elaine Elder-Coleman (Bobby) of Calhoun, LA and Earline Elder of Rayville, LA; his brother-in-law Rodney Cooper (Edith Cooper) of Arlington, TX; and his grandchild Kyler Elder. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Shannon Rose Hill Funeral Chapel (7301 E Lancaster Ave, Fort Worth, TX 76112). A funeral service was held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
