He was predeceased by: his parents, Everett Burns and Maxie Burns; and his siblings, Don W. Burns, Carol Watson and Joyce Barrientos.

He is survived by: his wife Rebecca Burns; his children, Blake Burns (Ilisa Burns) and Brandi Burns; and his brother Terry Burns. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends.
