He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Amaro and Susie Guerra; his stepfather Margarito Guerra; his brother Paul Amaro Jr.; and his brother-in-law Lynn Willett.

He is survived by: his wife Leslie Amaro; his siblings, Frances Rosales (Raul), Linda Willett and Michael Guerra (Rosalinda); his sons, David, Paul and Brandon Amaro; and his pets, Chloe, Sir, Tux, Kali, Stewart and Bella. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
