He was predeceased by: his father Henry A. Thornton; and his sister Melinda Thornton. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Thornton of Saginaw, Texas; his mother Betty Thornton Brown; his children, Terry Thornton (Amy) of Decatur, Valerie Stacy (Kris) of Decatur, Tamra Martin of Dallas, Michael Williamson (Amie) of Asher and Michele Deaver (Ronnie) of Granbury, Texas; and his siblings, Melissa Stricklin of Stephenville and Don Thornton (Vicky). He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
