He was predeceased by: his wife Jovita Lopez; his siblings, Praxedis, Ramon, Tomas, Maria, Micaela and Rosa; and his grandchildren, Justina Garcia, Alex Lopez Jr. and JoeMichael Navarro.
He is survived by: his children, Fidel Lopez Jr., David Lopez, Daniel Lopez, Alex Lopez, Sylvia Rivera Lopez, Gloria Lopez and Monica Lopez; and his brother Armando. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and countless friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Greenwood Funeral Home (3344 White Settlement Rd, Fort Worth, TX 76107). A funeral service was held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at 2:30 PM at the Funeral Independence Chapel at Greenwood Mausoleum (3210 White Settlement Rd, Fort Worth, TX 76107). A burial was held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at the Greenwood Memorial Park (3100 White Settlement Rd, Fort Worth, TX 76107).
