He was predeceased by : his parents, Ernest Pugh Jr. and Joyce Faye Brookins. He is survived by : his children, Alaina, Langston Pugh and Damian Carr; his grandchildren, Elyssia Jonell Carr and Adarien Dinwiddie Pugh; and his siblings, Paul Pugh, David Pugh and Stephanie Pugh Bunn. He is also survived by his nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
His commitment to altruism went far beyond his work, as he actively participated in community service with the Fire Public Education Division, administering the COVID-19 vaccine during the height of the pandemic, working at health fairs, feeding the homeless, and offering medical support during parades.
