He was predeceased by: his parents, Gilbert Sr. Douglas and Severnia Douglas; his grandparents, Jerry and Maebelle Douglas; his siblings, Roscoe Douglas Sr., Blondell Weaver, Lulabelle Walters and Anna Lynch; his children, Anita Ellis and Keary Adams; and his grandson Johnathon Douglas.
He is survived by: his wife Jessie M. Douglas; his sisters, Faheema Salaam Almay and Geraldine Hilt; and his children, Rachel Douglas Reid (Shawn), Craig Douglas, Tonetta Tolden and Belinda Douglas-Allman. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren.
