He was predeceased by: his parents, Gilbert and Joe. He is survived by: his wife Mae; his sisters, Lucinda Gomez and Hermalinda Esquivel; and his children, Michael Countryman, Marty Countryman, Laura Sanders, Gilbert Garza III (Leslie), Angela Sanchez (Angel) and Eliana Quevedo (Jorge).
