He was predeceased by: his parents, William Watson and Lydia Watson; his wife Karen Watson; his son Alan Watson; his brothers, Danny Watson, Dillon Watson, Charles Watson and William Watson; and his grandfather Gramps (Poppy).

He is survived by: his daughters, Ina Watson of Alexandria, Virginia (Edward) and Leslie Luna of Fort Worth; his siblings, Sue Haddock and Michael Watson of Greenville; and his great grandchildren, McKenzie, John Rielly, Jadelynn Bates, Jacob Harbin, Dominic and Maya Hendrickson. He is also survived by his family, friends.
