He was predeceased by: his parents, Lucille Marie (McKown) and Jesse Weldon Lucas; his siblings, Mack Lucas, Carolyn White and Jan Mayhew; and also Heaven.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Lucas; his daughter Stacy Cason (Michael); his sister Sue Smith; his grandchildren, Shalie Dahar (Austin), Lucas Cason (Carson), Kimberly Denke (Rudy) and Gina Burchette; and his great grandchildren, Leyton, Daniel, Wyatt, Colt, Lucas and Samson. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
A committal service was held on Thursday, August 14th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Dallas - Fort Worth National Cemetery (2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy, Dallas, TX 75211). A memorial service was held on Thursday, August 14th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Christ Chapel Bible Church (3701 Birchman Ave, Fort Worth, TX 76107).
