He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Hazleton and Myrtle Hazleton. He is survived by: his wife Elaine; his children, Frances Hazleton (Lisa Matthews), Alan Hazleton (Tracy) and Mark Hazleton (Lesley); his grandchildren, Weston, Kendall, Marlis, Berit and Ian; and his sister Susan Swingen. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and good friends.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 4:00 PM at the Celebration Community Church (908 Pennsylvania Ave, Fort Worth, TX 76104).
From 1973 to 1975, Jared took leave from the University of Texas to work with the Ford Foundation as an economic research specialist assigned to the Royal Scientific Society in Amman, Jordan.
