He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward D Finney and Nell Finney; and his brother Jimmy Finley. He is survived by: his siblings, Rosetta Harrison, Dorothy Austin, Jessie Finney and Michael Finney (Ruby); and his children, Dorise Williams, John Edward Finney Jr., Lacresha Bruton and Makisha Bruton. He is also survived by 24 Grandchildren, a host of great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
