He was predeceased by: his parents, John Henry Harvison Sr. and Rachael Rosamond Cayce; his sister Barbara Smith (T. L. Smith); and his son Bryan Harvison. He is survived by: his wife Sue Harvison; his children, Johnny Harvison (Joy), Randy Harvison (Pam), Kay Allen (Rick), Mike Harvison, Stacie Woodcock (Doug), Hope Anthony (Andrew) and Hollie Harvison; and his sister Rosalynn Autry. He is also survived by nineteen grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to The Women's Center of Tarrant County.
