He was predeceased by: his parents, Shirley Kay Barton and David Frank Barton Sr.; his brother David Frank Barton Jr.; and his grandparents, George, Elsie Wright, Johnnie William and Olibbia Barton.
He is survived by: his girlfriend Paige Pethtel; his siblings, Daniel Barton, Chase Bowen (Elizabeth), Chad Bowen (Hannah) and Alicia Babb (Matt); his nieces, Jocelyn Bowen and Emma Bowen; his nephew Jasek Vallejo; his stepfather David Paul Bowen; his aunts and uncles, Maggie and Carroll Wright; and his pet Sugar Louise Barton. He is also survived by seven Cousins.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Mountain Valley Funeral Home (3407 SW Wilshire Blvd, Joshua, TX 76058). A memorial service was held on Wednesday, September 23rd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Burleson Church of Christ (1150 NW John Jones Dr, Burleson, TX 76028).
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a memorial contribution to the American Cancer Association.
