It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Michael Shawn Runnels of Fort Worth, Texas, who passed away on December 16, 2025, at the age of 55, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lena Louise Runnels and Bennie Bailey; and his brothers, Joseph Andrew Runnels and Joe Cecil Runnels. He is survived by: his brother Dennis Earl Banks, Sr. (Linda); his uncle Willie Casteel (Shirley); his aunts, Gloria Chatman, Bobbie McKinney, Debra Banks, Pearlean Banks and Ellean Banks of Texarkana; his nephews, Cortez Holmes, Dennis Banks, Jr. and Demarcus Banks "Sista"; and his friend LaCinda Holmes-Hood A. He is also survived by great nephews and nieces, cousins, family members and friends.
