She was predeceased by: her parents, Stuart Smith Hodges and Margaret Alice Hodges; her husband John B Hicks of Piney Flats; and her brothers, James Hodges and Daniel Allen Hodges.
She is survived by: her brothers, Willard Wayne Hodges of Forest Hill and Richard Lewis Hodges of Smyrna, Tennessee.; her children, John Dennis Hicks, Tim Hicks of Crowley and Candie Peterson of Weatherford, Texas.; her grandchildren, Emily Hicks of Crowley, Jessica Swafford of Arlington, Sarah, Olivia Peterson of Weatherford, Christie Happy of Hurst, Brian Hicks of Godley and Andrew Carver of Crowley, Texas.; and her great grandchildren, Callie, Weston, Gracie, Matthew and Milee.
Viewing will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Martin Thompson & Son Funeral Home Chapel (6009 Wedgwood Dr, Fort Worth, TX 76133). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery.
