She was predeceased by: her parents, Loyd Patterson McClain and Amy Gertrude McClain (Grimes); her husband Walter J. Goodwin; her brother Robert Loyd McClain; her son Robert Edwin Burns; her great grandchildren, Zichaela Caffey-Stubbs and Zelena Caffey-Arteese; and her grandson-in-law Robert Edwin Burns.
She is survived by: her children, Michele Caffey, Joyce Gan (Curtis), Melissa Ramirez (Randy), Debbie Modrall (Larry), Karen Burns, Warren Burns (Lola) and George Goodwin (Jane); and her daughter-in-law Kaylene Burns. She is also survived by eighteen grandchildren, many cherished great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 27th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Greenwood Funeral Home (3344 White Settlement Rd, Fort Worth, TX 76107). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 28th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Funeral Greenwood's Live Oak Chapel (3100 White Settlement Rd, Fort Worth, TX 76107). A burial will be held on Thursday, May 28th 2026 at the Whitt Cemetery (10481 Lone Star Rd, Weatherford, TX 76088).
