He was predeceased by: his parents, Jim Armstrong and Bonnie Armstrong. He is survived by: his wife Ann Armstrong; his sister Jan Robertson (Jim); his daughters, Melody Matto (Bart) and Tiffany Rupert (Jason); and his friend Joe McCarver. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to the American Heart Association or to the North Texas Basset Hound Rescue.
