He is survived by: his wife Sandra Douthit of Patrick's Church; his sons, Brian Douthit (Michelle) of Homestead and Jon Douthit (Samantha) of Fort Worth, Texas; his grandchildren, Rhett Douthit, Cole Douthit, Allison Horne and Nicholas York; his sister Gaye Nickels of Lewisburg; and his cousin Judy Bryan of Pittsburg. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and many dear friends.
