He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas B. Dewett and Evadean Willard Andrews Dewett; and his siblings, Thomas B. Dewett, Jean Shoup and Joyce Miles.
He is survived by: his wife Judith Dewett; his children, Trevor Dewett (Aubrey) and Alicia Jordan; his grandchildren, Savanna Richard (Walker), Slade Dewett (Abby), Grant Seckel and Sadie Stapp (Andrew); and his great grandchildren, Dean, Hinson Richard and Vaylen Seckel.
A funeral service was held on Friday, July 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church - Crowley (400 Eagle Dr, Crowley, TX 76036). A burial was held on Monday, July 21st 2025 at 1:00 PM and at 1:15 PM.
