She was predeceased by: her parents, Dennis J. Hightower and Maurine McDowell Hightower; and her brother James Jenkins. She is survived by: her husband George Smith; her sons, Shane Gage (Carole) and Graham Gage; her granddaughter Ashley Gage; her siblings, Roxanne Felps and Dennis Hightower; her sister-in-law Linda Jenkins; and her stepchildren, Greg Smith (Rebecca), Wade Smith (Jessica) and Stephanie Smith. She is also survived by six step-grandchildren; one great-grandchild, and many nieces and nephews.
