He is survived by: his wife Glenda Smith; his children, Kelly Smith (Holly) and Thom Smith (Bridgett); his brother-in-law Bodie McLennan (Suzanne); his grandchildren, Reid Smith (Kaitlin) and Payton Smith; his great grandchildren, Austyn and Hattie Smith; his nieces and nephews, Bruce McLennan (Caroline), Jim McLennan (Lesa), Jay McLennan (Scott), Matt McLennan (Kayla), Kimberly Payne (Dustin) and Ashley McLennan (Nikki); and his cousin Nancy Altenbern. He is also survived by other cousins and lifelong friends.
