He was predeceased by: his parents, James E. Maher and LaDelle Maher. He is survived by: his son Aaron Maher of Saginaw, Texas; and his brothers, David Maher of Amarillo, Texas, James E. Maher, Jr. of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma., Kimber, Fithen and Greer. He is also survived by four nieces.
