She was predeceased by : her parents, Arthur "Art" Carter and Ruby Carter (Driver); her husbands, William "Bill" Hodgerson, Gene Schlup and Dean Dyess; her daughter Kathy Joann Hodgerson; her granddaughter Amy Baxter; her brother Bill Carter; and her daughter-in-law Gloria Hodgerson.

She is survived by : her children, Carl Hodgerson of Porter and Nancy Trainham (Murl, Sr.) of Laurel Hill, FL; and her grandchildren, Heather Johnson, April Henson, Neil Trainham, Murl Trainham, Jr. and Brandy Trainham. She is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
