He is survived by: his wife Patti Leigh Mitchell; his daughter Abby Leigh Starkey (Don Lawrence Starkey); his grandchildren, Ridge Starkey and Hayes Starkey; his son John Carson Mithcell IV (Lindsey Knight Mitchell); his grandchildren, Carson Mitchell, Asher Mitchell, June Mitchell and Eli Mitchell; his sister Mary Margaret Jones; and his nephews, Steve Jones and Jerry Jones. He is also survived by husband who loved his wife, a father who loved his children, a Grandpa.
