He was predeceased by: his former wife Sara Tatum Owens; his grandparents, Jim Owens and Alice Lou Burns; and his sister Stacey McFarland. He is survived by: his mother Mary Nell Owens (Burns) of Franklin, Texas; his fiancée Shauna Durdin; his children, Jim Owens, Natalie Owens, Devin Barnes, Faith Barnes, Shelby Thornton and Jacob Nash Burns; his father Danny Owens; his brother Daniel Carter (Jillian Carter); his nephews, Weston and Truitt Carter; and his niece Kymber Carter. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
