He was predeceased by: his parents, Emmit McBride and Mozelle Thorpe McBride (Vera Mae McBride); and his brother Al McBride. He is survived by: his wife Vera Mae Boyd; his daughter Lisa; his son-in-law Gordon Novotny of Midland; his son Brian; his daughter-in-law Megin McBride of Magnolia; his brother J. T. McBride of New Baden; his grandchildren, Zachary McBride, Emma McBride, Abby McBride, Janie Smith, Sammie Jo Gersbach and Bo Novotny; his great grandchildren, Gracie Smith, Shevy Smith, Brantley Smith, Zane Smith, Rowdy Smith, Houston Smarrito, Kambree Gersbach, Zayden Gersbach, Ryker Schropshire, Weston Shropshire and Holden Novotny; and his great great grandchild Hallie Green.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 19th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the McCauley Funeral Home (101 E Decherd St, Franklin, TX 77856). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 19th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
