He is survived by: his wife Deb Burgess; his children, Kristy Green (Michael) of Bremond, Sam Burgess, Jr. (Tracie) of Temple and Brad Burgess (Crystal) of Bryan; his daughters-in-law, Jennifer Burgess of Franklin and Sabrina Burgess of Denham Springs, Louisiana; his siblings, Pat Fisher (Dan) of South Carolina, Elaine Wilbanks (Mack) of South Carolina, Jim Burgess of South Carolina, Larry Burgess (Kathy) of South Carolina, Dave Burgess (Sharlene) of South Carolina and Frank Burgess of Florida; and his brother-in-law Glen Hamilton (Linda). He is also survived by his 13 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and a whole lot of friends.
