He was predeceased by: his father Daniel Davide Ellis; his former wife Jessica Ellis; his grandparents, Veo South and Willis Vernon South Sr.; his uncle Willis Vernon South Jr.; and his father-in-law Aaron Rogers.
He is survived by: his wife Cansas Ellis (Rogers); his son Merick Starner; his siblings, Corey Ellis (Amy), Dustin Wells (Courtney), Tammy Cullipher and Sarah Jenkins; and his pets, Leroy, Reba and Sarge. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, friends.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, December 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church (15565 Lee St, Poynor, TX 75782).
