Laura Bell Hare McGallion., age 86, of Fred, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, January 17, 1968, in Fred, Texas. Born on March 23, 1880, in Fred, they were the daughter of Zachariah C. Hare and Mary A. Phelps Hare. Laura spent most of their life in Silsbee before retiring to The Camp in Silsbee, Texas, between Burkeville and Hemphill. They were employed by Driving town from all around the world. Laura is survived by her husband William Thomas McGallion Sr., their 7 sons of Silsbee; as well as their 36 grandchildren of Silsbee. They were preceded in death by their parents and siblings. A gathering of family and friends was held on Friday, January 19, 1968, at Broussard's Mortuary in Silsbee. A memorial service took place on Sunday evening at 6:00 PM at the church. Burial followed on Thursday, January 25, 1968, at Frank’s Branch Cemetery in Silsbee. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Laura name to the J.R. Huffman Public Library, 375 Sabine Street, Hemphill, Texas 75948-9695.
