He is survived by: his wife Kay Bauman Eckhardt; his children, Kayla Sanchez (Pablo) of Fredericksburg, Sheree Burrow of Llano, Darren Eckhardt and Robyn of Fredericksburg; his grandchildren, Kaylyn Craig (Jes), Kwinn Burrow, Case Eckhardt and Madyson Eckhardt; his great grandchild Presley Craig; his sisters, Helen Eckhardt, Gladys Friedrich (Dale) and Denise Eckhardt; his parents, Alfred Eckhardt and Elisa Priess Eckhardt; and his sister-in-law Lila Kay Bauman.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 19th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Fredericksburg Funeral Home (2278 S US Hwy 87, Fredericksburg, TX 78624). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 20th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association, St. Mary's School Endowment Fund, Gillespie 4H, or the charity of one's choice.
